Peter Rushton, CEO
Having worked in Blacktown for over twenty-five years, Peter has built up enduring relationships with many members of the community and has an unrivalled knowledge of the healthcare needs of Blacktown City. He was instrumental in the establishment of KRMC®. Peter works closely with our doctors, allied health professionals and nurses, ensuring that the Centre's facilities and services allow them to provide their patients with optimum care. Peter also works in conjunction with a number of healthcare bodies with the aim of developing new health initiatives and heightening the quality of medical services available to the community.
Berni Rushton, Business Development Director
Berni studied at The University of Manchester and the College of Law, London. Her commercial knowledge and marketing experience assist Berni in promoting KRMC®'s services within the Blacktown community and further afield. Berni writes and updates all of KRMC®'s promotional material, including website content, and oversees KRMC®’s social media platforms. She is involved in all new initiatives within the business, including our Corporate Health Service, the setting up and operation of Clinics and the organisation of our free Community Education Program. Berni works on establishing links with local schools, sports and community clubs in terms of advertising, presentations and sponsorship. She also liaises with local healthcare bodies to ensure that KRMC®'s continued involvement in western Sydney's healthcare services is both appropriate to the local demographic and also meets the ever changing demand for new and integrated services. Berni is currently overseeing the drafting of KRMC's Reconciliation Action Plan and KRMC's White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation.
Chris Rushton, Director
Chris studied at the University of New South Wales and holds joint degrees in law and commerce. He has many years’ experience in the commercial sector, having been a partner in an international law firm for over twenty years. Chris brings extensive business and managerial knowledge to KRMC® and possesses unique skills to assist in the continued expansion of KRMC®’s services.
Yvonne Stanford, Joint Practice Manager
As Practice Manager of KRMC®, Yvonne is responsible for all aspects of the daily operational management of the Centre. Yvonne's role is multi-dimensional, requiring constant communication with our staff as well as with external businesses. She liaises with both medical and support staff to ensure that the practice runs smoothly. Yvonne has a long history of working in the healthcare industry. She spent 40 years as a pharmacy assistant, 17 of them with Rushton's Pharmacy, as well as with other pharmacies in Sydney. Yvonne recently studied Business Medical Administration at Mount Druitt TAFE, coming top in her year group. She has worked at KRMC® as a receptionist and as Assistant Practice Manager before being promoted to her current position.
Kellie Koen, Joint Practice Manager
As Joint Practice Manager, Kellie provides high-end managerial and administrative support to KRMC®’s owners. She assists with research projects, document management, clinic setup and reporting and liaises with both medical and support staff to ensure that the practice runs smoothly. Kellie holds a Diploma in Business Management and has over 17 years combined medical, legal, risk and compliance experience with a focus on audit, client reporting and project management. Kellie also performs the role of Head of Reception at KRMC®, utilising her prior staff management experience.
Matthew Pitkethley, Assistant Practice Manager
Matthew studied Hospitality and has over 30 years experience in both hospitality and customer service management. Prior to joining KRMC®, Matthew spent the bulk of his career as an Onboard Manager of Cabin Crew for one of Australia’s leading international airlines, where he gained extensive experience in people management, conflict resolution and safety and emergency procedures.
Warwick Neilley, Partnerships & Services Development Consultant
Working closely with other members of the Management team, Warwick has a key role in supporting KRMC®'s active participation in the work of the Western Sydney Primary Health Network (WentWest) and in building partnerships with the Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital and other external health care organisations. Identifying risk factors and educating people in the prevention and the management of chronic and complex health conditions is high on KRMC®'s agenda. In this regard, Warwick has expertise in the use of Johns Hopkins ACG® System for patient risk stratification and reducing avoidable hospital admissions and in developing and implementing Patient Medical Home/Integrated Care systems. Warwick also advises KRMC® on primary care research and on maximising the use of e-health systems. He is assisting in drafting KRMC's Reconciliation Action Plan.
